Her face turned impassive when he spoke of her parents, and her dark eyes glinted.
"Dead."
She said, her voice fragile. Even now, their death was pain to her, a loss she'd never wanted to face.

"I was about 15 when my mother and father vanished, along with most of the men. We found the ships some time later, wrecked and abandoned. I became the captain overnight. That didn't sit too well with some of them. They worked it out though, an' now I couldn't find a more loyal crew if I tried. I pick up men along my travels, adding to my crew. I'm not sure why we're ageless. "
She placed her hand on the pirate's shoulder.
"We all mourn for them."

"An' so o' course the Cap'n says yes. Probably fer you. He came here to find me so's o course I said I'd help crew The Deathshead. This ship be cursed though. It sails all on it's own. It don't need no Cap'n at the wheel. Which makes me wonder.......why did Ivorius need Nik?"

Her face froze, and she pulled herself up to her full height, every inch the pirate captain she'd become. She was silent, and looked so different than the child she'd been when her father dissapeared. Her eyes glinted with a hard light, and her full lips were pressed tightly together.

"Ye know sumptin Cap'n? I tink Oi loiked it better when yous was shorter 'n me." he smiled widely, then ran off the ship, much faster than it seemed a man of his girth could move.

She grinned at his words, and ran with him, easily keeping up. Her mind was elsewhere, however. She moved automatically to avoid objects, but you could tell she wasn't concentrating on the run.
