"No, but I do have to deal with my men, my daughter, and David."

He laughed. "That'd be true. Colossal ships just not be fer me. I prefer somethin a little more....personal." he kissed her on the neck after he said this. "Tha's all."

Her body relaxed slowly on the ship, and she pulled herself close to him. Her lips traveled from his collerbone to his ear, leaving a trail of kisses. "I love ye, Nik."

He smiled. "I love ye as well." he guided the ship into the large currents. "Let's hope this works this time." he said a little bit nervously.

"I'll stop with the distractons for a moment then." She smiled, watching the movements of the ship.

"One can hope." he steered the ship expertly, though the tides still pulled the DawnTreader around.

Jaklyn walked nearer to the side of the ship, her eyes focused on the water. It had to be hellish water that could fight Nik's skills as a captain. The sea was beautiful, but deadly. Jaklyn knew that well. She looked out over the ship, speaking to the sea. She was a distance away from Nik. "So m'lady, this is your part that took him from me the first time. You'll not take him again. " She paused, feeling the spray of the water and gripped the rail of the ship tighter in her hands. "And if the ship goes down this time, it stays down, with both of us aboard. So please behave." She'd always spoken to the sea as such, as if it had a mind of it's own and would answer to her pleas. Often though, she had great luck when sailing, but many said that was just her pirating skills. Jaklyn wondered if maybe it wasn't because of the closeness she felt to the water.
She hated to think of it, but it felt to her that she was in some way connected to the water. The time she'd spent with Arlen, she'd been land-locked in Sacred Forest. True, she'd suffered from worry, hunger and pain, but those things shouldn't have done her so badly. She'd felt instantly better when she'd arrived and felt the sea, heard it's song. Even now, as her love tried to brave the currant, she felt her body strengthen, her mind cleared and her heart raced. This was her home.

"Time to move!" Nik shouted to the DawnTreader. He looked to Jaklyn. "Grab the lines, we need the sails to have no slack!" The currents started to pull more, the old ship creaking. "Perhaps we should have brought Scallahan along."

"I haven't forgotten the basics of sailing." She said in a reproachful tone, grabbing the lines that controlled the sails of the small ship. There was an adreneline rush going through her veins and her eyes were wide and dark.

He cackled into the waves. Barely able to keep the ship on course. "Come on, Come on."

Jaklyn felt rather than saw the sea churning around them. As the water grew stronger, so did she and she pulled the sails tightly. Her gaze was not on the ship, but the sea. "Come on." She whispered, echoing his words, but to a different purpose.

The sky cracked, and threw lightning on the seas. "This day just keeps getting better." Nik spoke wildly. Even with Nik and Jaklyn's skill, the ship was being tossed around. Nik screamed at the storm and sea, hoping beyond all, that they could clear the storm.

"Who'd you piss off this time?" She shouted to Nik, laughter in her voice.
