"That is a sad thing." She said, her voice soft. "My daughter...used to be a generous loving person. She's changed a lot since she was left alone with her infant son. Dray has never met his father."

He looked at her with empathy. "Perhaps with his return they can be a family again......" His eyes fell to the table again. "This means I will have to put aside my own goals for now....They deserve to have their peace." He again looked at her. "You have been most kind and for that I am grateful....but, for now, no one must know that I was here.....I shall have to remove your memories of me."

Dray had been listening and his eyes blazed. He quickly went back to his own home.
Her face was soft. "Do what you feel you must."

His face relaxed somewhat. "Perhaps not...." He fixed his eyes on hers. "I think that it is best not to mention to anyone that I was here...."He stood up collecting the vegetables. "Thank you very much." he walked out of the tavern.
