His smiled faltered a little but held. "Then I'm afraid your invasion isn't going to work. These new dragons aren't going to know what hit them....Unless of course you are planning to put your and his memories into their minds......" he was still wandering around.

His smile faded completely. "Then, you have misjudged me."
He turned back to the table holding a small blue covered book.
"But, if that is what you think, then why did you allow me access
to your castle and to this wonderful library?" he asked with a solemn
voice.

"So, you think I am your enemy.....you think you're not strong enough to challenge me? You are a half dragon, much like Xader, and you think I'm stronger." he laughed, his smile returning. "I'm not fighting on anyone's side. Right now I am evaluating the situation I'm in. On the one hand I could help Ember thwart your plans and bring peace. But, on the other hand I could help you, and keep this world in balance with just a small bit of chaos. I'm in a very powerful position here Adrianna.
And I intend to use it wisely." he sat down and put the book into his pack.

Her face was cold, but there was something beneath the frozen facade that couldn't quite be deciphered.
"Just because he is as you say, "a powerhouse", does not mean he doesn't fall prey to his human side."
